Ideas?
For me and many others family and food go hand in hand. Memories of family are intimately connected with food, visits to my Grandma Gloucester – always meant boiled ham, potatoes, peas and thick white sliced bread with a dab of English Mustard for dinner, trips out with my Grandfather in Cardiff always resulted in a milky coffee and custard slice in a city centre café, 80’s dinners of chicken Veronique cooked by my mother, the recipe from her weekly Le Cordon Bleu cookery course magazine.
I wanted the business to have a family connection and identity, I tinkered with letters and names for a while. I’m dyslexic and never been great with letter puzzles, so frustratingly the answer was staring me in the face!
Ideas represents my family, Ian, Dylan, Evan and Sarah. My biggest supporters and fiercest critics too. We’re creating a set of food memories of our own, many cooked outside on our Green Egg, who knows perhaps in the future when the boys think of me they’ll remember the strong smell of wood smoke and spicy pulled pork!
